Mid-Band: operates on ranges from 2 to 10 GHz. It also covers a few frequencies above cellular and Wi-Fi frequencies. The range of these networks is usually about half a mile, which means they carry most of the 5G traffic in most other countries. For mid-band, most countries offer carriers around 100MHz each.
High-Band: is also known as the “millimeter wave”. Most of these airwaves are in the 20-100GHz range. There are no consumer applications currently using these airwaves. A test showed 800-foot distances from towers; they’re very short range. However, there are large amounts of unutilized spectrum up there, allowing for very fast transfer rates.
